• Corby Business Academy is committed to enabling young people to develop the skills and attributes necessary to succeed in life. Enterprise is central to this success.

These skills are creative thinking; group work; communication skills; managing risk, independent work and reviewing personal performance. These skills will be focused upon during a number of specific Enterprise Days held in the course of the academic year and will also be integral in the planning and delivery of lessons in every faculty in the Academy.

The academy will utilise links with local businesses to ensure that we continue to equip students with the skills required for the future.

  • Corby Business Academy is a committed stakeholder in the local business community. We are forging ongoing relationships with companies, which will allow us to help them to achieve their aims and objectives, as well as utilising their skills to benefit the learning of students across the Academy.

Currently multi-national company RS Components is providing a mentoring service to Year 11 Business Studies students to further enhance their learning. Sixth Form students have also had a number of opportunities to visit a range of different business such as Rockingham Motor Speedway and Solway Foods, enabling them to fully experience the world of business.

The school has recently formed a working group with the aim of expanding our vocational links further across the Academy.

  • Welcome to Corby Business Academy

As a specialist business and enterprise academy we have devised a curriculum that is broad and stimulating and linked to the world of work.

Our pledge to all our students is that we will help them become independent young adults, used to working in a variety of ways, who will develop the skills necessary to progress onto higher and further education.

Our building is equipped with excellent facilities and the latest technology to make sure our students can exploit every opportunity when they move beyond the Academy.

As a priority the Academy seeks to become a centre of excellence in everything it does and our mantra is that all staff and students work together with a can-do attitude.
