A record number of cross country runners from our Academy have made it through to the county championships.

In total 13 students from Years 8 to 11 qualified for the event after coming in the top 20 of their age categories at the district championships which were held at West Glebe this month.

Active Teacher Natasha Dunstone said: “This is the highest number of competitors that we have ever had in the county championships.

“The district championship was tough because the course was really muddy that day.

“All the students put in a lot of effort and I’d like to congratulate everyone who took part.”
