A dozen book lovers have customized their shoes to reflect their love of reading.

Members of our Corby Book Addicts Club have given their old pairs of shoes a new lease of life by covering them in images of their favourite books.

Librarian Amy McKay said: “You can see shoes with pictures on them all over the internet so we thought it would be fun to have a go at making our own.

“The students decorated their shoes based on their reading habits.

“Some of them decorated their shoes with pictures from comic books and others used images of their favourite books.

“We even have a pair of shoes which have been decorated with images of the books which have been nominated for the Carnegie Award.”

The club meets after school during Session 4 and is made up of students from Years 7, 8 and 9.
