A major American author will visit our Academy next week as part of his UK tour.

David Baldacci has published 30 novels which have all been international bestsellers and several have been adapted for film and television.

His novels have been translated into 45 languages and sold in more than 80 countries.

Our Academy is the only school Mr Baldacci will visit during his UK tour and he hopes to talk to our students about his books for young adults - The Finisher and his latest book The Keeper which came out last week.

CBA Librarian Amy McKay said: “It is so exciting for our Academy to have such a big name visiting us. It’s amazing.

“We are the only school in the UK that he is visiting as the rest of the tour is aimed at adults.

“It is a real privilege for us to welcome him to CBA.”

The master storyteller will take part in an informal session with our older students and keen readers in the Library and then give a talk to our Year 8 students in the Main Theatre before taking part in a book signing.

Year 7 student Katy Wilson said: “It’s great that he’s coming here. It’s brilliant that we can meet someone who has written so many books. I’m sure he will be very inspiring.”
