Nearly 60 of our brightest young mathematicians from Years 9 and 10 took part in a national competition today.

Nearly 60 of our brightest young mathematicians from Years 9 and 10 took part in a national competition today.

The top maths group from each year took part in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust’s Intermediate Maths Challenge which is aimed at students in Year 11 and below.

The paper was sat at CBA under exam conditions.

CBA Mathematics Teacher Sevanti Panchal said: “The students have been working very hard during Session 4 to get ready for this competition.

“They have come along every Tuesday after school and tested themselves by working on past papers.

“They were all enthusiastic about the competition and were ambitious to do well.”

The students should receive their results in the next few weeks.
