Every one our teams that entered an exciting national business competition run by Young Enterprise made a profit.

In total our four teams made a combined profit of about £120 from the business ventures they set up for Young Enterprise’s Tenner Challenge.

Each group was challenged to see how much money they could make in one month from an initial investment of £10.

Business Studies Teacher Iain Morton (pictured above) worked with the students during Session 4.

He said: “The competition was aimed at our younger students and all our teams did very well.

“They learned about teamwork, profit margins, customer service and selling.

“I hope some of the students involved will go on to study Business Studies in the future.

“Our most successful group organised a car washing service which earned £60.”

The other three teams sold a variety of sweets, chocolates and biscuits to make money.
