Students visit Cambridge University

On Tuesday, eight high achieving year 9 students took part in a taster day at Cambridge University.

In the morning students had the opportunity to find out the entry requirements for a range of subjects and what an average week at University would be like. Students also took the opportunity to look around Sedgwick museum, one of the many museums available to Cambridge University students.

During the afternoon, students had a tour of Pembroke campus and spoke to University students to find out as much information as possible of what life on campus.

Mr Matt Shone said ‘Each of the students had expressed an interest in attending a University and jumped at the chance to see what a top University was really like.

‘All students thoroughly enjoyed the day and now have a real desire to find out more about University opportunities in the future.’
