Behind the scenes at radio station

Music Technology students looked behind the scenes of Corby Radio.

Music Technology students looked behind the scenes of Corby Radio when they visited the station last week.

A group of 11 Year 9 students visited the station’s base in Corby town centre.

The trip brought the inner workings of a radio station to life for the students, who did a mock broadcast the week before.

Teacher Felicity Cornish said: “The students have to know about different roles within the music industry so we went to look at how Corby Radio was set up, the equipment they had, the different jobs people did there and how the radio operated.

“At the station they saw that they used one studio for pre recording and another for the live broadcasts. They watched the live broadcast and also saw someone being interviewed.”
