A Unique Forum For Creativity

Performers and artists will be able to showcase their work and edit other people’s thanks to a special new website.

CBA has teamed up with The Cube Theatre to launch the new project and encourage students get creative and learn new skills.

The Academy has joined up with The Robert Smyth School in Market Harborough and students from both schools who are taking part in the project can upload songs, performances, photos and other creative works to The Mighty Creatives website.

Using a password, they can then access the website and edit other students' work from their partner school, or use any of the uploaded material as a starting point for their own creations.

Year 9 students Nikki Hutcheon and Katie Cummings (pictured) were the first to sign up to the project and students taking part will decide who else can join the creative team.

Katie said: "It sounded interesting and something a bit different that we haven't had the opportunity to do before. The point is you can do anything and you might give other people some inspiration at the same time.

"It's also a way to show off what you can do."

Drama Teacher Vicky Clements said: "The idea is that it's a virtual platform for performance. For instance, one student could write some song lyrics and then another student from the partner school might add the music.

"It's about collaborative, creative working.

"There is funding available between the two schools so if for example, the students need some training in video editing, we can get someone in to show them."
