Our new students can become part of the CBA dance crew and take part in the many staged events that will happen throughout the coming Academic year.

Students of all abilities are welcome to attend the Session 4 club and the invitation is also open to those who have not tried dance before.

Teacher Daryl Handy said: "We have a really strong dance scene here at CBA and so we are inviting Year 7 students to become part of that tradition.

"Becoming involved in the club will help students improve their existing dance skills, gave them a new social side to life at CBA and also perhaps encourage them to join classes outside of the Academy.

"Every member of the dance group will also have the opportunity to take part in the dance shows and perform before other students, staff and parents."

Since CBA began dance has been a very popular extracurricular pursuits for many CBA students and this year an Elite Junior and Elite Senior company will be created.

Students will have to audition for a place in the exclusive dance companies, with more details to be posted on the website shortly.

The dance timetable is:

Year 8 Dance Club - Dance Studio - 3:45 - 4:45 - Mrs Dickinson

Junior Dance Company - Dance Studio - 3:45 - 4:45 - Chrissie Moore

Senior Dance Company - Theatre - 3:45 - 4:45 - Mrs Dickinson

Year 7 Dance Club - Dance Studio - 3:15 - 4:45 - Mrs Handy

 (Students will be required to wear PE kit for ALL dance classes.)
