Entering Academy Excellence Awards

A group of talented sixth formers have been selected to represent CBA in a bid to win prizes at the Academy Excellence Awards.

The students will be writing essays on a specialist topic for entry into the annual awards which recognise outstanding academic achievements by students in Year 11-13.

Students will have until December 11th to pen their essays and finalists will go on to the awards at ceremony at the University of Nottingham on July 4th2012.

Gifted and Talented Coordinator Claire Howsam, who is organising the entries said: "The students have been nominated by teachers and this is their chance to shine and show they high standards they are capable of."

Nenyasha Mukumbuzi is writing an article on Economics, Shona McKinnon is focussing on English, Charlotte Bean's specialist subject is History, Andile Chiwuta will write about his passion for Music, Fraser Gillan will write about Physics, Catherine Grant is focusing on Politics and Julia Marques Pike will write about her specialist subject of Maths.
