Students from Years 7 to 13 came along to hear the celebrated children's novelist read an extract from her latest book Ice Dreams, and also speak about the publishing process when she made the visit on Thursday, November 17^th.

The author, whose latest series is about the world of Ice Skating, said: "This is my first visit to an Academy and I am so impressed with the library facilities here.

"It is very clear that literature is very important at Corby Business Academy and I applaud that."

Librarian Amy McKay said: "It is so important that students have the chance to meet the authors, as it brings the reading process to life and encourages them to engage with new and different genres."
