Magic Club To Be Conjured Up

Year 10 students will be able to learn the art of close up magic when a new Session 4 club starts this term.

A 20 week course will be running until the end of the academic year and ten lucky students will learn the art of illusion from two professional magicians.

President of the Magic Club Eugene Matthius and colleague Chris Congreave will be launching the club at the Key Stage 4 assembly on Monday, January 16th.

Librarian Amy McKay who is coordinating the club said: “Magic is having a bit of a renaissance right now, with magicians such as Dynamo and Derren Brown.

“We thought the club would be a great addition to what’s currently on offer during Session 4 and the students who take part will learn some great employable skills.

“Magic is a great way of building confidence and we are really looking forward to getting started.”

Interested students can register with Miss McKay and an application process will take place if the club is over subscribed.
