Young Enterprise Company Prepares for First Event

The Sixth Form enterprise company will be unveiling its product line at a special event being held at RS Components this week.

After wide market research Mbrace has decided to sell a series of manufactured products including acrylic photo frames, spinning tops and limited edition LED badges.

The venture is part of the Young Enterprise programme, which encourages students to find out more about business by setting up their own company.

Mbrace (which is made up of nine students) will run every aspect of the company from production to finance, marketing to sales.

Managing Director Arron Smith said: “After considering a number of products we have settled on a final selection.

“We are making them ourselves and have given out products an extra edge by becoming personalised.”

The event at RS components is the first promotional event and the team will be exhibiting their wares alongside other Young Enterprise companies from across the area.

A special award will be presented to the team that stands out from innovation and presentation.

Trade fairs will also take place across the region. These will be in Milton Keynes on February 19th, Leicester Trade Fair on March 4th  and an area final on March 5th at Wicksteed Park.
