Students Encouraged To Forward Plan For University

A finance information evening for students who are thinking about going to University is being held next week.

The Student Finance Tour – being run by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills – will be visiting on Tuesday, January 31stat 6.30pm.

The event is open to all CBA students and their parents who are considering going to University.

Non CBA students are also very welcome to attend.

The tour is part of an initiative to inform students about the upcoming university fee reforms from September 2012 and the support available to help them participate in higher education.

From September 2012 most students will not have to pay any funds up front.

Head of Sixth Form Avril Bartley-Smith said: “This is essential information for any student who is considering going to University in the next few years.

“A lot of our Sixth Form students intend to do so and we want to make sure we help as much as we can to make sure they are fully prepared.”

The information evening will be led by a student finance presenter who will give a talk before a question and answer session.

The event will be especially useful to current Sixth Form and Year 11 students.
