Year 6 students and their parents are being invited to come and find out more about the Academy during its Open Week this week.

Students who are in their last year at primary school can come and get a taste of Academy life from Monday, October 1, to Friday, October 5.

There will be presentations about the Academy followed by tours of the building twice a day every day. These will take place at 9.30am and 2pm and visitors are asked to arrive in good time to be in their seats at these times ready for the presentation to begin.

Guided tours will also take place around the Academy on Monday, October 1, and Tuesday, October 2, at 5.30pm and 7pm.

There is no need to reserve a place for any of the open week events.

Vice Principal Lorraine Smith said: “We are very proud of our achievements at the Academy and we would urge Year 6 students and their parents to come along during the open week.

“They will be able to see the students and teachers at work and see what the Academy is all about.”
