CBA staff and students help out with fun day

CBA students and staff helped out a fun day held to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

CBA students and staff helped out a fun day held to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The event was held because of Tilly McEwan, a little girl who has Cystic Fibrosis. Tilly’s sister Lauren and brother Harry are both students at CBA.

Students who helped out with the day included Year 11 student Bradley Thompson, who contacted businesses to ask for raffle prizes, made badges to sell and worked on the tombola stall at the fun day.

CBA students Chloe Harrison, Caitlyn Levins, Daisy Buckingham, Charlotte McGinlay and Rebeca Constantin also helped out.

The Oakley Rangers, a local youth band featuring several CBA students, played on the day and Year 13 student Andile Chiwuta brought his band along to perform.

Tilly’s mum Sally McEwan said: "We are so touched at the generosity and kindness of everyone who gave up their time and money to support our cause, the students and staff at CBA were fantastic and had a real impact on the success of the day.”
