An award winning group of young entrepreneurs is preparing for its biggest event to date.

Young Enterprise company Signature has so far won three awards at trade fairs where it has sold its customized face flannel gift sets.

Its members, who are all Year 12 students, now have just a week to go until the Young Enterprise competition area final when they will give a presentation on their product in front of Young Enterprise judges and more than 200 spectators.

Signature sales director Ellie MacLeod said: “We’ve been working on our presentation skills after school so we’re feeling quite prepared.

“Being involved in Signature has boosted my confidence and I now feel comfortable giving presentations in front of people.

“We’re not worried about what the other Young Enterprise companies are going to do at the area final – we’re just focusing on what we need to do.”

At the area final Signature will be up against 15 other Young Enterprise companies from 10 Northamptonshire schools.

The students will set up a trade stand and give a presentation which will include details of Signature’s aims and objectives, mission statement, performance and achievements.

To qualify for the event Signature had to produce interim accounts and a company report outlining the key aspects of running its business, its market research, product selection, manufacturing processes, mission statement, risk assessment, funding and share holder information.

The final will be held at the Corby Cube on Monday, March 10th.
