Re: Romeo & Juliet at The Core at Corby Cube

Your son/daughter is invited to a theatre performance to see Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet at The Core at Corby Cube on Thursday 21^st February 2013. They will also be performing a short introductory drama piece at the beginning of this performance which will be part of their Unit 3 EDEXCEL final performance piece. They will also be required to write about the performance for their drama coursework. 

The show is at The Core at Corby Cube and starts at 7.30pm.  Students are required to meet staff at Corby Cube at approx 4.30 to enable a practice run through prior to the actual performance. There will be time for pupils to eat before the performance: they can either bring food or staff can escort them into town to purchase food.   The play finishes at approximately 10.00pm and therefore students will be available for collection as soon as possible after 10.00pm.

The cost of the trip is free to year 11 drama performers; they will however have to provide their own transport to ensure they are at the The Core at 4.30.

This is a wonderful play and great opportunity for your child to see live theatre performed by a professional theatre company, which will benefit their learning.

If your son/daughter is able to attend, please fill in the reply slip attached and return to reception by Tuesday 19^th February.
