Re: RS Student Mentoring Scheme

Dear Parent/Carer

Your son/daughter has chosen to take part in the RS Student Mentoring Scheme supported and sponsored by RS Components.

The purpose of the RS Student Mentoring programme is based upon offering students one to one guidance in areas they are keen to progress in where ever possible in the context of ‘the world at work’.

The role of the Mentor is to provide the student with a link to the business world and support them through their course and or career choices by incorporating real life experiences of business. The Mentor will meet with the student on a regular basis (once every 3 to 4 weeks) to support the student’s progress with their coursework and offer guidance and insight into the practical side.

The Time Commitment

Hourly sessions to be arranged at their convenience every 3 to 4 weeks during a student’s study time.

Where the Mentoring Takes Place

Mentoring will take place at CBA, however occasionally the students will be given a chance to see their Mentors within their work environment and arrangements made for them to shadow their Mentor at RS Components, students will be required to make their own way to RS Components, therefore please can you complete the following consent form.
