REBECCA HORRIDGE

I first came to CBA on my Phase A placement and then returned in the July as an NQT.  Since then, I have been made Assistant Director of English, and also Literacy Coordinator.  The support from staff at CBA has been excellent; I've been well supported by both my mentor and department since starting and this is what has made me want to progress at the academy.  The training that I have received has been of a great quality.  Having experienced both the PGCE and NQT programme, I would say that the personal support and coaching has been invaluable.  The nature of the training at CBA encourages you to make connections across the academy and this helped me as a new teacher to feel integrated in the school and subsequently, have the confidence to progress.

ABBIE PARSONS

I started at CBA in 2013 as an NQT and I am now Lead Teacher in Design Technology. I have attended several different types of training sessions throughout my time here at CBA; from NQT training, as part of the Brooke Weston Trust, to 'in-house' CPD. The NQT sessions particularly helped to develop my practice in the first year and this was very useful. More recently the Trust training day was very successful in terms of sharing good practice across the three schools that attended. I was able to share my own good practice ideas on that day by running one of the workshops with two colleagues.
