Dance Recital is a huge success

Our talented students entertained hundreds of dance enthusiasts during our latest CBA Dance Recital.

Our talented students entertained hundreds of dance enthusiasts during our latest CBA Dance Recital.

Seventy dancers from Years 7 to 13 put on a stunning performance in the Academy’s Main Theatre on Tuesday night in front of about 250 audience members, including family, friends and former CBA students.

The show featured a range of technically challenging dances, including musical theatre, Bollywood, contemporary, street and jazz numbers.

CBA Dance Teacher Francia Dickinson said: "This was our most technically challenging dance show yet and it was a huge success.

"It was a testament to all the hard work that our dancers had put in to get ready for the show since September.

"We are very proud of them all."

The evening included performances by our Year 9, 11, 12 and 13 BTEC Dancers, Senior Dance Company, Junior Dance Company, Year 7 Dance Club, Elite Dance Company and Year 12 Performing Arts Students.

A number of dances were choreographed by Sixth Formers Rachel Andrews, Sinead Flanagan, Shannon MacLeod, Madara Vimba and Erin Anderson.
