CBA’s first recipe book on sale soon

The Academy was filled with the smells of home made cakes one day last week as the final samples for a CBA cookery book were tasted.

Staff and students were asked to vote for their favourite recipes and the winners will appear in the Afternoon Tea Recipes booklet being put together Nikki Clark's class.

Nikki said: "My class have been busy researching cake recipes to compile a top ten recipe booklet as their mini-enterprise project this term.  We have asked staff, family and friends to contribute their favourite recipe and we have selected a range of recipes to try.

"We have had two baking sessions where the students baked cakes and invited staff, students and links (Kim Collins from Adrenaline Alley) to a tasting session.

"At the first session, we took onboard people's comments and reviewed recipes, added a new edition before deciding on our top ten which were tried out again before the recipe booklet finally goes to print!"

Recipes include: Carrot Cake Muffins, Chocolate Fudge Cake and Red Velvet Cupcakes.

Watch this space for further details about the 'Afternoon Tea Recipes' booklet.

It will be available to buy at the Summer Enterprise Sale and Café on Thursday 16th July from 11am to 1pm.
