One Brew prepares for Young Enterprise Area Final

Our business-minded Sixth Formers are working hard to get ready for the Area Final of the Young Enterprise contest.

Our business-minded Sixth Formers are working hard to get ready for the Area Final of the Young Enterprise contest.

In the autumn a group of Year 12 students formed a company called One Brew as part of the Young Enterprise intiative.

Since then One Brew has been working hard to promote its luxury tea stock at trade fairs and in CBA and its representatives are currently working hard on their company report ahead of the Young Enterprise Area Final in March.

One Brew Marketing Assistant Ashley Zorrilla is leading the work on the report.

She said: “I’ve found the Young Enterprise experience to be very helpful.

“It has taught me about how businesses work and how to promote a business.

“I’ve also learned a lot through working on the company report. It has helped me to improve my writing skills and I’ve learned a great deal about the different aspects of business, including finance, business structure, promotion and marketing.”

CBA Director of Business Alex Allan said: “Our Sixth Formers have put a lot of time and effort into their Young Enterprise company and they have promoted their product at a variety of trade fairs.”

One Brew will sell its luxury tea at a trade fair at R S Components between 11.30am and 2pm on Wednesday 24th February.

The Young Enterprise Area Final will take place on Tuesday 15th March.
