Students' Summer Sale

The UNIT was alive with activity today when students and staff held their summer enterprise event.

Parents, teachers and staff from outside agencies were invited along to see the result of students' efforts over the last few weeks.
On sale were aprons and bags that the students have been busy making and they also helped to run a tombola.
Their artwork was on display in the afternoon, with visitors encouraged to write in the comments book.
A café was set up in the UNIT to give everyone a chance to get together.
Visitors were also encouraged to guess the birthday of the teddy bear, which had been lovingly hand-made by Sally Knibbs, who works in the UNIT.
Proceeds from the teddy competition will go to the Uganda Appeal.
Special Needs teacher Nikki Clark said proceeds from the rest of the event will go towards paying for another wheelchair ramp onto the decking area in the new kitchen garden.
