Don't Miss The Skip-a-thon
Students and staff have been invited to join in with the fun, fitness and fundraising challenge, which gets underway this week.
Active Teacher Natasha Dunstone has organised Jump Rope for Heart to encourage students to try new forms of exercise, to raise awareness of heart disease and to raise money for the charity.
Years 7, 8 and 9 will take part during their Mind and Body lessons and Year 10 will join in during their Active lessons.
Sixth Formers and staff are invited along in Session 3 on Monday.
Sponsor forms will be given out in reception each morning next week for those wanting to participate.
The aim is to raise £500, with 80% going to the British Heart Foundation and 20% being put towards the Active department.
Miss Dunstone said: ''The Active department is trying different ways to get students active. We want the students to have some fun learning a new skill while raising money for a very worthwhile cause.
"The British Heart Foundation is keen to promote healthy hearts and we wanted to reflect this by running the Jump Rope for Heart campaign.
"It is important to encourage students to take enough exercise, eat a healthy balanced diet, encourage them to be heart healthy and be aware of dangers such as smoking, drinking, high blood pressure and stress."
Approximately 2.6 million people in the UK are living with coronary heart disease.
