Spread Love And Joy This Christmas With A Festive Message
The Year 11 Prom Committee has come up with the novel way to raise funds and has organised for little elves to deliver each candy bar.
Students can simply buy a bar for 50p and decide what message they'd like on it and who it needs to be delivered to.
The candy will be on sale outside the restaurant from Monday, December 6th to Friday, December 10th, thanks to a generous donation from a student's grandmother.
Michael Foley (pictured on the right with fellow fundraiser Fraser Gillan) is part of the committee which is busy raising funds for Year 11's prom next summer and after hearing all about his efforts, his gran Dot Gibb wanted to help out.
She donated the candy along with a giant teddy and other gifts which will be raffled off.
Michael said: "She has seen how much effort and hard work we have put in to raising money and after the success of our Halloween party for Year 7, she wanted to donate something.
"It's just a fun thing to do this Christmas, whether it's telling someone how you really feel or showing your boyfriend or girlfriend how much you care.
"We've also got lots of raffle prizes which would make great Christmas presents."
Michael added: "We'd love it if as many people supported us as possible."
During the week commencing Monday, December 13th, the bars will be delivered to each year group.
Year 7s will get theirs on the Monday, Year 8s on the Tuesday and so on.
Raffle tickets will be on sale on the 15th, 16th and the morning of the 17th, with the draw in the afternoon of the 17th.
Tickets are 20p each or 50p for a strip.
