Winter Wonderland Magic

The magic of Christmas was captured perfectly by singers and musicians at CBA’s Christmas concert.

The Winter Wonderland show at the end of term featured the junior and senior Concert Bands, the newly-established Glee Club and CBA Vocalize, along with string, woodwind and brass ensembles.

Highlights included a stunning solo performance by singer Molly Walker, a vocal duet by Andile Chiwuta and Josie Murrie and a Nutcracker Spectacular by the Senior Concert Band.

Wrapping up the evening was an interactive performance of The 12 Days of Christmas, complete with audience participation.

Mayor of Corby Ann Brown was in the audience and she said: "Each group is very talented and the show was brilliant.

"What I like is that it's a Corby school presenting something like this and it's good to see youngsters from local areas performing."

Also in attendance were representatives from Bela Partnership, which has been involved in CBA's development from the beginning.

The company's construction director Roy Wilson said: "We like to come to one or two events throughout the year because we've had a long involvement with CBA and it's nice to re-enforce the links that have been established for a few years now.

"It's nice to see the children's enthusiasm in a show like this - it was very entertaining and I was particularly impressed with the solo singer."
