Film Club Back On The Big Screen

The opening credits of the CBA Film Club will be rolling next week.

Students are invited to take a seat in the small lecture theatre for the screening of the Jack Black classic School of Rock (PG) during Session 4 on Thursday, September 22nd.

And this year the club will be part of the Children's University so students can amass credits while watching their favourite films.

In a change to the format there will be a screening on alternate Thursdays with a review writing session taking place on the Thursday when a film is not showing.

Teacher Louise Cory who is running the club said: "Students should join Film Club as a way of seeing films they might not have considered watching before.

"It is also a great way for students, who might not normally hang out together, to meet with others whom have a shared enthusiasm for films."

The first few films will have a school theme. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid (PG) will be showing on October 6th and the Oscar winning The Social Network (12) will be screened on October 18th.

The films will be shown from 3.40pm with an approximate finish at about 5.50pm.

On the review writing weeks students can meet in CL5 in the  COMMs  faculty from 3.40pm to 4.50pm.

Please note that parental consent is compulsory for all students under the age of 15.
