Farewell to Much Valued Staff Members

CBA has bid a fond farewell to two of our site services team.

Premises and Services Director Alain Stubbs and Site Supervisor Norman Robinson both left their positions on Friday (September 30th).

Alain (pictured) had been in the role since before the Academy opened - overseeing the construction staff during the build - and Norman joined CBA from our predecessor school, where he had worked for more than 20 years.

Alain joined CBA after a long career in the Army, where he served in the Middle East and Northern Ireland.

After making it to the rank of Sergeant Major, he decided it was time for a career change and after training young people in the army, thought he would like to work within a school environment.

He said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at CBA, gained so much experience and worked with some great people.

"I want to thanks all the staff in my department who joined from the predecessor school as they were very welcoming and have always worked extremely hard to make sure CBA is kept in top condition.

"Special thanks to Norman who enabled me to do my job effectively."

Norman decided to retire after reaching his 65th birthday.

He said: "I have enjoyed all my years at the school and have worked with some great people who I will be keeping in touch with."

Norman intends to spend his retirement doing some gardening, decorating and walking his dog.
