Sixth Form Open Evening – Tuesday, November 29th

CBA is hosting an Open Evening for Year 11 students so they can find out more about the opportunities our Sixth Form has to offer.

On Tuesday, November 29th our Year 11 students as well as students from across the area are being invited along from 5pm to 7pm to find out more about our Sixth Form provision and our links with local businesses.

There will be information available about all areas of Sixth Form life, from courses available, to personal development and careers and there will be teaching staff and current sixth form students on hand to answer any questions.

Head of Sixth Form Avril Bartley-Smith said: "This will be an opportunity for our current Year 11 to find out more about how further their learning and move forwards to University - as well as introducing ourselves to students from other schools."

This year we have our largest ever Sixth Form cohort. New subjects introduced to our wide ranging post 16 offering this year include AS Psychology and A Level Music.

Headgirl Alice Hill who came to CBA Sixth Form after having completed her GCSEs at a different school said: "I moved to the Sixth Form and have never looked back.

"The fact that I was selected to be head girl after an interview process shows how receptive and welcoming the Academy is to new students."

Our most recent A Level results were our best ever with students going on to study at some top universities as well as taking up on the job training.
