Sixth Formers Train On Reception

Sixth Form students have been working in various community roles throughout the Academy.

The most daunting task was being trained as a receptionist.

Over a period of time the students have been learning how to respond to queries, man the telephone, take messages and meet visitors to the academy.

This has provided for many the practical evidence required for their Travel and Tourism A level course. The opportunity to practise the theory is far more realistic than any role play activity.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Ernestas Bacevicius said: “Great fun, can I have a job, please.”

Richard White said: “I didn’t know how busy I would be, I had
to deal with several tasks at the same time.”

“I enjoyed meeting visitors to the Academy” said Holly Minton.
