Parents Have Their Say On Plans For A New Look Website

Parents have given an enthusiastic response to plans to reshape our website services.

At a well attended meeting of the Parents Forum held at CBA yesterday (December 7th) parents gave their feedback on plans to make our website more accessible to all.

They had the opportunity to add their own ideas as well as review plans proposed by Sarah Ashby  - Vice Principal responsible for website matters.

Ms Ashby said: '' The website has provided us with an excellent platform to communicate with sparest staff and those interested in matters here are CBA. However it is now three years old and we realised the needs of our viewers has changed.

“We wanted to make it easier to navigate to the places where people frequently visit, particularly improving the way in which parents can contact their children teachers, as well as see what events are on here at the Academy.

“Ideas such as incorporation of a site map, and name changes to important areas such as Eportal were discussed in some detail.

“The parents were particularly interested in the virtual learning platform project which will be available later on this year through this website.”

At the meeting parents expressed the desire to change the name of the group from Parents Forum to Parents Consultation Group.

Ms Ashby said: “This name change will ensure more parents are aware of the function of this group and so not confuse it with the work done by our Parents in Partnership group which supports our fundraising.”

The next meeting of the Parents Consultation Group is Wednesday, February 22nd. All parents and carers are welcome to attend.
