Six CBA students will be taking part in a Karting Championship later this month.

Year 8 students Chloe Rowlatt, Jack Rosborough and Kimberley Samuels-Hammond and Year 10 students Jessica Dick, Jesse Moffatt and Joseph Samuels-Hammond will be getting behind the wheel at the first stage of the British Schools Karting Championships contest taking place on Thursday, January 26th.

The students will compete against teams of students from across the area at the event being held at the Northampton Indoor Karting Centre.

Design teacher David Mitchell, who is organising the CBA team said: “This will be a great experience for the students.

“Before the 26th we will take them to a race track for a practice session and then on the day there will be a practice session before the racing begins.”

Last year the championship was contested by 450 teams from across the country.

If the CBA team make it through the county finals they will go forward to the regional finals at Whilton Mill circuit near Daventry on Saturday, March 10th.

The national final will be held at Daytona Milton Keynes at the end of March.
