Who Will Win the Sport Relief Cake?

Sport Relief is happening in the Academy tomorrow (March 23rd) and the charity committee team have managed to get their hands on some great sponsored raffle prizes.

A Sport Relief themed chocolate cake, two bike ride day passes at Rutland Water and some archery sessions are just some of the raffle prizes on offer for tomorrow’s charity event.

Students can also pay £1 to wear their everyday clothes to school.

Led by Sixth Form student Chrissie Moore the students have used their business skills to secure the raffle haul.

Year 10 student Bradley Thompson managed to secure a fantastic sport relief themed cake from Uppingham based Little Cakes.

Owner Nicola Denbeigh, who spent five hours making the creation, said: “I was happy to help as I was so impressed with Bradley’s email and his appeal for help.”

Pastoral Support officer Caroline Border has also managed to secure the cycle hire passes from Rutland Cycling. The bike specialist has stores at various points around Rutland Water as well as at Fineshade Woods.

The raffle tickets cost 25p each and are available from the stall that is set up outside the restaurant.

T- Shirts and other Sport Relief merchandise is also on sale.
