Year 10 students got the chance to become broadcasters for a day during a trip to the Sky studios.

Media students visited the studios in London this week, where they were given a tour before having the chance to try broadcasting for themselves.

Media teacher Claire Howsam said: “They got the chance to work with all of Sky’s equipment and got to learn how to film on professional cameras and how to edit using an editing desk. They had to be the presenters and even got to use clapperboards.

“The day was absolutely brilliant and we’re hoping to organise another trip to the Sky studios for another class at the end of the year.”

Student Cory McBride said: “I loved using the equipment and having a tour around the whole of the Sky building.”
