Students from the Unit discovered hidden talents for fishing at a special event in East Northamptonshire.

Eight members of Unit joined students from Wren Spinney and Tresham to take part in the Catch the Smile event hosted by the Masonic Fishing Charity (MTSFC) at Ringstead Island.

The event was designed to help people with special needs to learn about fishing and the countryside.

Special needs teacher Nikki Clark said: “Our students caught a variety of fish, including several carp and bream.

“Everyone caught something which was great and all the students received a certificate for taking part in the event.

“Jessica Brown, Gabriel Coyle and Elsie Davis also received medals for personal achievements.”
