Cricket Team Planning To Run Out The Competition

The first competitive fixture for the Year 7 and 8 Cricket Team begins next week.

After months of practice - which included an intensive training programme over the Easter Half Term - the team is ready to take on Kettering rivals Bishop Stopford School on Thursday, May 21.

The squad has been coached by Head Boy Jordon Joseph, who qualified for his coaching badges at the start of the academic year.

Jordon said: "Training so far has gone really well and all the team have been really enjoying it.

"They are all keen to practice and so hopefully this will mean that we go far this year in the inter schools competitions."

Other fixtures are against Latimer School on June 3rd; Lodge Park Technology College on June 11th, Oundle and Kingscliffe Middle School on June 18th and the team will also take on sister school Brooke Weston at a date to be confirmed.

Cricket Training sessions take place on Mondays from 3.30pm to 5.45pm in the Sports Hall.
