Students prepare for dance extravaganza

An evening of dance featuring fantastic performances by our talented students will take place this week.

Our young dancers will join students from the Brooke Weston Academy and Kettering Science Academy for the 4th annual Partnership Dance Show on Thursday.

The event will feature a wide variety of dances, including ballet, jazz dances and three routines choreographed by our Year 13 students.

CBA Dance Teacher Francia Dickinson said: “We have been working on our routines since January.

“Our younger students have been working on their piece during Dance Club after school while some of our older students will perform routines they have been working on for their courses.

“All the students have been working really hard and I think it will be a particularly good show this year.

“This will be the last occasion that our Year 13 students will perform together so they’re feeling quite emotional about it.

“All the students are really excited about the show.”

There will be performances by students in Years 7 to 13 and we will have about 50 students involved.

There will be numbers by the Year 7 Dance Club, the Senior Dance Company and Elite Dance Company.

The show will start at 7pm in our Academy’s main theatre and it is open to parents, staff and students.

Tickets cost £3 and will be available in advance from Student Reception or on the door.
