Year 11 students will give up their free time to pack bags at a supermarket this weekend.

Members of the Academy’s Year 11 Prom Committee will be packing bags for shoppers at Asda in Corby on Sunday in exchange for donations for their prom.

So far the group has raised more than £1,000 to pay for decorations for the prom, which will take place this summer at the Holiday Inn in Corby.

The group has also run a fundraising stall at the Academy, sold fortune cookies and taken part in other bag packs to make the event a success.
