June 2015 - GENERAL - Completion of Year 11
Dear Parent / Carer,
Now that the examination series is in full swing, many of our students are entering the final phase of their GCSE courses. In order to support the students as much as we can during this period the Academy will run revision sessions in between examinations. As students complete courses and examinations there will inevitably be times when they will not be needed for either examinations or revision sessions.
It is for this reason that on their first day back after the May break, Monday 1st June, Mrs Lorraine Smith will be sharing the support plan with all the Year 11 students. This plan, on some days will involve students coming in for specific sessions only. Where this is the case students will have the opportunity to use the Academy chartered bus service, picking up and dropping off from Corby Town Centre (Westgate Side).
When students come in to CBA during this period they must continue to follow all of the usual expectations, particularly ensuring they swipe in as normal on entry to the building. The plan for the coming weeks will be displayed in the Academy Mall for students to follow during this period. All students have also been emailed a timetable and they will also have a ‘completions sheet’ that they must ensure they get signed off by the appropriate Directors of Subject.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during what can be a challenging time for both students and parents alike, and I would like to wish everyone the best of luck for these last few important weeks.
