Christina Mangin

What do you read and when do you do it?

I like to read most things - magazines, books, newspapers, the internet. I read anywhere, but mostly at home and in school.  My favourite place to read is in the sun though.

Why do you like reading?

Reading makes me feel relaxed and chilled out.

Favourite books?

My desert island read would by High Voltage by Kat Von D, it has both pictures and information and is really interesting.  I could read it over and over again and never get bored. My favourite book ever is Paddington Bear. I think everybody should read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, it is AMAZING.

Emily Carroll

What do you read and when do you do it?
I like reading pretty much anything it's possible to read. I read anywhere and any time I can.

Why do you like reading?
Reading makes me feel entranced, like I'm being pulled into a world of pure imagination and fantasy.

Favourite books?

My desert island read would be Phillip Pullman's Northern Lights, as it is set in the far north and there's a lot of description of snow which would keep me mentally cool. Stolen by Lucy Christopher is my all time favourite book (I wouldn't take this to a desert island though, because it's set in the Australian outback and the heat is talked about a lot, which would make me even hotter).

Connor Wilson, Year 13

When do you read the most?

I mainly read in bed.

Why do you read?

I read anything and anything.  I love novels, I rely on newspapers to keep me up to date with what's happening in the world and I'm also an internet addict, which is of course a form of reading.

I love reading, I love that you can lose yourself in a good story and let your imagination run wild.

What would be your desert island read?

My desert island read would be the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, as no matter how bad I had it I would be reminded me that there's always someone worse off.

I think everybody should read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - it's simply fantastic.
