Travel & Tourism/Business Residential Visit to Paris

November 2011

Dear Parent/Carer                                   Travel & Tourism/Business Residential Visit to Paris

The Travel & Tourism and Business Studies department are planning a residential visit to Paris from 2nd July to 6th July 2012 inclusive.  This Residential Visit is part of the Academy enterprise week; please note that our departure is on a Monday.

We will be staying at a Hotel in Paris, name to be confirmed a centre for educational visits.  The purpose of this visit to Paris is to allow our students to gain experience of the French language, culture and cuisine, thus enriching their learning at the Academy. There will be several excursions during our 4-day visit, including a day at Disneyland Paris, a trip up the Eiffel Tower and a boat ride along the River Seine.  On the return journey, we will visit Bagatelle theme park, popular with CBA students in the past, and shop at Cité Europe.

We will be travelling with R.B. Coaches from Kettering and have the sole use of the coach during our stay, subject to international regulations on driver's hours.  Students will be under the direct supervision of a member of CBA staff at all times and will be expected to adhere to the CBA behaviour code.

The total cost of the trip will be £395.00. This includes travel, accommodation, entrance fees, full travel insurance and meals (except lunch on the outward journey and evening meal on the return journey.) Please be assured that we have tried to keep all costs to a minimum. Students will need some pocket money if they wish to purchase extra snacks and souvenirs.

If you would like to reserve a place for your child on the residential visit, please complete the form below and return to student reception ASAP the closing date for deposits will be Thursday 24th November2011. Please enclose a non-refundable deposit of £95 cheques to made payable to Corby Business Academy. A payment card will then be issued and the balance must be paid in full by the end of March 2012. It is possible to pay this in instalments. (Please note if the trip is cancelled by the Academy all monies will be refunded).

All students must have a valid passport in order to travel.
