Enterprising students raised hundreds of pounds at their latest sale.

A group of students held the sale in the Academy’s central mall at the end of this term.

The event featured a variety of products made by Young Enterprise company Happy Hands UK, including teacup pincushions and chalkboards.

Our Kitchen Garden Club members sold their geraniums and jams created from the strawberries they had grown and teacher and keen gardener Neil Price provided a number of his plants for the sale.

Stalwart CBA supporter Jean Leighton also donated a wide variety of knitted dolls to the sale.

Mrs Leighton has been presented with a bouquet of flowers by the Friends of CBA in recognition of her hard work for the school.

The proceeds from the sale included more than £60 for the Kitchen Garden Fund, £130 for Key Stage 3 and 4 leisure and life skills activities, £65 for Happy Hands UK and £42 for the café.

The monies for Happy Hands UK will go to its shareholders and the rest of the funds will be used for activities at the Academy.
