A popular screenwriter and author will visit Corby Business Academy next week.

Andy Briggs has rebooted the classic character Tarzan with a series of contemporary books and worked on a number of movies including Judge Dredd, Freddy Vs Jason and Foreverman for Spiderman creator Stan Lee.

He has also worked for Warner Bros, secured an eight-book deal with Oxford University Press and his latest book called The Inventory: Iron Fist was released this month.

CBA Librarian Amy McKay said: “Andy is a very interesting author and is a great public speaker.

“He has had a fascinating life and he writes books that are a bit different which appeal to reluctant readers as well as keen readers.

“His visit will take place next Friday which we thought would be a nice way to end the term.”

During his visit Mr Briggs will talk to our Year 7 students and a group of students from Lodge Park Academy about his new book.

He will also be signing copies of the book which will be available for £6.
