An evening dedicated to the best young musical performers in the country will feature students from Corby Business Academy.
A number of students from the academy will take part in the Music for Youth Schools Prom at the world famous Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday 12th November.
CBA director of music Clive Wears said: “Some of our students will be performing in the Schools Prom at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday evening which is a magnificent achievement.
“We wish them well.”
A group of about 20 students from the academy will also attend the Prom to watch the performance.
Between November 11th and 13th about 3,000 of the UK’s best young musicians, aged between seven and 21, will take part in three Schools Prom concerts.
The Royal Albert Hall is a long-standing supporter and major sponsor of Music for Youth, a music education charity.
Together they work to champion youth music and develop musical talent by supporting young performers and offering them a platform to showcase their talent.
Performing at the Royal Albert Hall, on the world’s most famous stage, is the chance of a lifetime for young musicians and the Schools Prom concerts have proven to develop some of the UK’s best talent.
Following in the footsteps of the likes of Gary Barlow, the Schools Prom could be a first step in a long and successful career in music.
Royal Albert Hall chief executive Chris Cotton said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming the talented young musicians of Music for Youth to the Royal Albert Hall once again.
“One of our key aims is to encourage the promotion of music throughout the UK and we see our partnership and sponsorship of Music for Youth as a great driver in helping provide the memorable opportunity to perform on ‘the world’s most famous stage’ as well as celebrating the enormous musical talent, in the young, that is thriving throughout the country.”
