Fortune cookies will go on sale in the Academy this week to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Fortune cookies will go on sale in the Academy this week to celebrate Chinese New Year.

The cookies will be sold on Friday outside the restaurant to raise money for the Year 11 prom.

Among those selling the cookies will be Prom Committee members Taila Miller, 16, Megan Devlin, 16, Chloe-Anne Morrison, 15, and Courtney Haggart, 15, (pictured).

The cookies will be available for 20p each or you can buy three for 50p.

Chinese New Year is the most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. It will be celebrated on Friday January 31st and 2014 will be the year of the horse.
