Cricketers have high hopes for season

Our boys' cricket teams have high hopes for this season following their success last year.

Our boys cricket teams have high hopes for this season following their success last year.

Both the u-13 and u-15 teams came third in national cricket finals last year and are looking forward to their fixtures this season.

CBA Cricket Coach Jordon Joseph said: “Both teams finished third in national competitions last year and they are hungry to win some silverware this year.

“They continued practising throughout the winter and have shown a lot of commitment and dedication to the sport.

“The teams are in the County League and have got several cup competitions coming up.

“We hope lots of our students and staff will come along to their home fixtures to cheer the teams on.”

Under-15s captain Jonathan Freeman echoed Mr Joseph’s views.

He said: “I feel very confident about this season. We have a good side – it’s a young side but it includes a lot of talent.

“We’re determined to do well.”

Under-13s captain Thomas Prattis added: “I think we will do well in our matches.

“We’ve been practising hard and we’re looking forward to our cup matches.”
