A number of Sixth Formers have successfully obtained places on a week-long residential course at the University of Nottingham.

The students had to apply for the competitive placements and have been selected to spend a week at the university so they can experience university life at first hand.

The students will live in university halls, attend lectures in specialist subjects and experience university life.

CBA Head of Sixth Form Kim Isaksen said: “This opportunity will give the students a real taste of a reputable university and allow them to experience  campus life.

“Lectures in specific areas of interest will help guide their university choices next year.”

The students who have been selected are Nicole Bean (America Film Studies), Sasha Forrest (America Film Studies), Megan Hogg (Philosophy and Psychology), Jordan Spence (to be confirmed) and Emma Dean (Midwifery).
