There is a bursary scheme that is available for post-16 students which provides additional Government funds to help support students in their studies.

Some families may face financial barriers that can impact the sixth form experience so this discretionary bursary is funding allocated to those who meet the criteria to alleviate these barriers. The bursary can help support with transport, specialist clothing, essential books and equipment, educational fieldtrips, university applications and other course related costs. 

The Academy will be reviewing every discretionary bursary application on an individual basis. The decision and amount awarded will be made on the financial need.

To apply for the bursary, an online form needs to be completed. Please note that the students will need to complete the form using their Academy email address.

When completing the application form, please ensure that all areas are in line with the requested information and any evidence is submitted to prevent any delays with the application. 

If you have any queries with regards to the Sixth Form bursary, please email the finance team on adminfinance@corbybusinessacademy.org. Once an application is approved, students will be required to submit their receipts online in order to be reimbursed up to the value of their agreed fund application. 

Additional support for trips, music tuition, food technology and school uniform (PE kit) can be requested by completing the Financial Support Request Form. 

The Academy may also be able to support with the loan of a laptop for Academic studies for students eligible for bursary funding. Please email any requests for the loan of a laptop to adminfinance@corbybusinessacademy.org.
